Random Thoughts was created as a way of putting on “paper” some of the research that I am finding during the course of my work. I work as a development professional for a non-profit in the Southeast and do some consulting with other non-profits when the requests arise. My specific area of interest focuses on operational issues and working with donors to facilitate their creative desires to support the cause.
Early postings had to do with interaction web based development and other creative fund-raising strategies. I occasionally post on other subjects such as non-profit leadership, management, and marketing. And occasionally, a completely random post about something that strikes me as amusing or interesting. I wish I had time to post more frequently but unfortunately there are other demands on my time.
I have two wonderful daughters and a wife that keeps me organized. In my spare time I am a board member for a non-profit association, a soccer coach, a “learning” webmaster, a runner and a cyclist.
